At The Barn, we acknowledge the uniqueness of each child, recognising they are on their own individual learning journey.
Our aim is that every child leaves us to continue their learning journeythe best that they can be. Offering child led provision incorporating spontaneous in the moment planning within a nurturing, stimulating, enabling environment, our children develop into confident, resilient, independent, active learners who are not afraid to take risks and face challenges head on.
Focusing predominantly on the three prime areas of learning as ‘universal core aspects of early child development’ alongside early literacy and mathematics, our experienced staff tailor high quality interactions, provocations and differentiated challenges, to the interests and developmental appropriateness of each child.
Our home from home approach and working in excellent, close partnerships with parents/carers and families, supports children to build on their unique experiences. We recognise that parents are their children's first and most enduring educators and we actively encourage parental input into their child’s learning and next steps.
At The Barn, we are inclusive of all children from our diverse world, acknowledging the uniqueness of each individual child.
Our local offer aims to provide all the information that parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities will need.
The Barn Nursery School is committed to inclusive practice and have extensive experience and positive outcomes in supporting children and their families with special educational needs and disabilities, assessing the needs and support of every child on an individual basis.
