Extreme Forest School
Barn Bushcraft was established in December 2020 when the infamous Holly Wolf joined forces with the equally spectacular and adored Miss Creak .
At The Barn we have always embraced all weathers and trekked the rolling fields and hills that surround us… but quite simply when lovingly nurtured and encouraged to step outside the conformity of the everyday life of a 3 or 4 year old… we were not prepared for our Barnlings to become Superpowered!
Barn Bushcraft very quickly grew to become our Extreme Forest School because our Forest Barnlings demonstrated a skill, maturity and resilience beyond their years. From dawn till dusk our little Barnlings blew all expectations out of the water and proved themselves to be so very capable putting children twice their age to shame.
Forest School roots reach back to the open-air culture, Friluftsliv, or free air life, seen as a way of life in Scandinavia where Forest School began. It helps to develop confidence and self esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting. Inspiring the most confident souls to continually challenge themselves and even the most timid ones to find their voice and inner warrior. In fact it is the quietest Barnlings that come to life and often shine the brightest at Forest School.
